Thursday, July 17, 2008 10.43 (GMT) - A new work has been published, Clown Girl. Inspired by the homonym novel by Monika Drake, Clown Girl, this illustration would be a little tribute to a history that for me has been a sort of revelation. In this representation, I wanted to describe the inner sense of the plot, through the Art of the main character, Nita or Sniffle when she wears on her clown dresses. White Heart is the fulcrum of the Illustration: pure and immaculate is Nita’s Heart, wounded by a very hard life as street artist and a complicated love for a guy called Rex Galore. She shows her Heart without shame and fear, because she has nothing to hide or to reproach. She is the allegory of Life Dreams, the Art at the pure state. In this picture you can also see other key object and characters: her faithful dog Chance, the rubber chicken Plucky with a little ink heart scribbled on its breast, some balloons and some makeup.
